Words At War, the series that brings you radio versions of the leading war book another adaptation of an important war book, “Log Book British Merchant Marine” by Frank Laskier. A very well-done story about an average British sailor and his experiences before and during the war. Frank Laskier, a British Merchant Seaman was torpedoed three times during the war and lost a leg from the third torpedoing. During his convalescence he was invited before the microphones of the British Broadcasting Company. The story he told electrified his countrymen. Now Frank Laskier has written Log Book, a novel that doesn’t tell his own life, but a story not unlike it.
